Travel Tips: Reservation not done?
Bad weather, cancelled trains and you have to travel. Well, just in case you are in such a situation and are unlucky enough to find yourself without a reservation, here are a few survival tips: * Reach the station early and wait in the queue. If the crowd is not regulated by a policeman's baton, then you make a dash for the train. But don't get on the wrong side of your fellow passengers by starting it all. * Get the window seat. A bit of fresh air helps a lot. * Don't carry too much luggage. And guard your belongings. * Be polite, but firm. * Stretch your legs and keep them stretched. You lose that place and you may never stretch your legs till the end of the journey. * Carry a bed sheet, for, sometimes the easiest place you can sleep on is the floor. If you find place on the baggage carrier, try and curl up a little to accommodate one more passenger. * A small pillow will save you from a stiff neck. Remember the seats here aren't cushioned. * Make friends with your co-passengers for they are the ones who will guard your place when you have to leave your seat. * Watch your step, don't step on people. * Most important, avoid traveling unreserved.
