Aerobic exercise strengthens the heart and cardiovascular system

The cardiovascular system is comprised of the heart, veins, and arteries. The cardiovascular system is responsible for pumping blood throughout the body. Blood caries oxygen and nutrients to your muscles. The cardiovascular system can be attacked by disease which can lead to many serious problems, including heart attacks and strokes. As a result, there are many supplements, medicines, and exercises designed to keep the cardiovascular system healthy.

One of the best things you can do for your cardiovascular system is begin a regiment of aerobic exercise. Aerobic exercise strengthens the heart and cardiovascular system when performed regularly. Aerobic exercise also creates more red blood cells, which will carry more oxygen and nutrients throughout the body. Aerobic exercise is not just for athletes. In fact, aerobic exercise is especially a good idea for anybody who leads a sedentary lifestyle, which is becoming increasingly common in the United States and the rest of the western world.

Exercise is not the only thing you can do to improve and extend the health of your cardiovascular system. Smoking can cause a great deal of damage to your cardiovascular system. Poor food choices, stress, and depression can also damage your cardiovascular system and lead to cardiovascular disease.
