"Chemistry is the deciding factor for IIT-JEE. The reason for my getting Ist
rank is that I got good marks in Maths and students should not ignore Maths. I
used to study for six hours daily. I was playful till 10th standard, but it was
only in 12th standard I started to really concentrate on IIT by focusing on
three subjects Maths, Physics and Chemistry," Jithendar Reddy, who hails from
Warangal district pointed out.
Expressing happiness at the achievement of their son, A Ramchandra Reddy, who is
a professor and his wife Shobha, who is a Primary School teacher, said Jithendar
himself used to study and they never forced him.
"We believed in God. Education is the only way to succeed in life and we
invested in his (Jithendars) education," they said.

years, an official of Narayana Institute said.
