Yeti is an area of
outstanding beauty with rocky outcrops, greenery, deserted beaches and stunning
natural scenery.
Unlike a few years ago, when people used to take one and a half hour to reach
Yeti from Ruwi, now Yeti is just 1/2 hour away from Ruwi, thanks to new roads
from Bar al Jissah roundabout.
On the way to Yeti, tourists enjoy watching the greenery in Yeti Valley and
villages. In the villages, one can see Omani goats roaming around in groups.
Most tourists say it is an amazing place. Yeti is the perfect spot for those
with a passion for natural beauty, shallow bays and stunning greenery.
One of the most picturesque tourist spots in Muscat Governorate, Yeti boasts
wild rugged mountains, exciting shallow bays, tiny islands and greenery. Its
scenic views, lush plantations, valleys and beaches make it a must-see for
tourists.
Limestone rocks are another attraction at Yeti. The waters are pretty shallow
surrounding the rock; one can get up to the rock without really getting wet.
People enjoy swimming in the shallow and cool waters of Yeti at certain places.
A tourist from Malaysia who happened to visit Yeti with his family recently said
Oman is blessed with some of the most stunning beaches and Yeti is one of them.
Its long sandy beaches with greenery in the background offer good picnic
opportunities for families.
In the wake of the June cyclone, beaches and bays in the Yeti were full of water
and greenery increased many folds. Some roads which suffered damages were soon
reconstructed. While the water has receded to normal levels, the greenery
continues to be a magnet for tourists.
One of the most scenic places for sightseeing, swimming, picnic and recreation,
Yeti is a favourite spot for domestic as well as foreign tourists. Those who go
to Yeti also make it a point to visit nearby attractive places such as Qantab
beach, Bandar Khayran and Oman Dive Centre.
Yeti is a favourite place for photographers. That’s because of its stunning
natural scenery with mountains, and beautiful bays. Yeti’s coral reefs will
definitely enthral you. The reefs, which naturally attract a host of marine life
and the sheltered waters, create ideal conditions for snorkelling and swimming.
The unique beaches and villages around Yeti ensures that everyday there will be
something exciting for you to admire, and you will come back relaxed and
rejuvenated from a fantastic break.
