Dubai Shopping Festival is the largest, most
successful entertainment, cultural and shopping event in the entire Middle East.
Held once a year, usually in March, it is a month-long extravaganza that
attracts millions of visitors.

cultural, sports and entertainment events ranging from live concerts, theatre

THE DUBAI SHOPPING FESTIVAL
STARTED IN 1996...
It all began in 1996. With a promise to be
"The Most Amazing Festival Ever" . It promised 43 days of the world's
best shopping bargains and the world's richest raffles. It promised spectacular
entertainment and fabulous sporting action. It promised citywide festivities and
international fairs and exhibitions... Then, for 43 incredible days, the Dubai
Shopping Festival '96 delivered every superlative-laden promise it had made.
Since then, the Festival has consistently managed to outdo itself every year.
Year after year, over 2,500 retail outlets,
department stores and shopping malls offer the world's best brands of haute
couture, textiles, electronic goods, household appliances, children's apparel,
toys, watches, jewellery, gold, perfumes, and more ...at some of the lowest
prices in the world.
Hotels rack rates drop by 40%. Restaurants have
special price-offs and "extras" with meals. Airlines offer special
discounts and excess baggage allowance.
This shopping extravaganza also includes the
largest selection of carpets in the world at the Carpet Oasis. And families
spend many happy hours at a 200-stall bazaar called the Festival Souq, and at
the Global Village where artifacts, trinkets, curios, handicrafts and cuisine
from around the world vie for ones attention.
