Chandran was AIADMK leader and famous Tamil actor.He died
of heart attack in Tamil Nadu's Thanjavur district on Friday, 8th
October 2010. He was 69. He had undergone a heart bypass surgery last
year
He has acted in over 700 films,
having started performing at the age of 15. He was one of the best comedy
actors. Among his more popular films are: Sahadevan Mahadevan, Thangamani
Rangamani, Paati Sollai Thattathey, Once more, Uzhaippali, Maappillai, and
Kathanayagan. Mr. Chandran has also produced four films.
He served as a Rajya Sabha MP from
2001- 2007 and at the time of his death, he was the deputy secretary
(propaganda) for the AIADMK.
Mr. Chandran is survived by his
wife, daughter, and two sons.
