The door closes automatically once the user enters. It can be opened by pressing a red button inside the toilet or the emergency door handle. “After 20 minutes, the alarm goes off and lights flash before the door opens automatically. After the user leaves, the door closes automatically and remains shut for 55 seconds for auto cleaning and drying. This also includes cleaning of David Burge, CEO, JCDecaux Middle East said, “We're pleased to install and operate the first automatic toilet in the Middle East in cooperation with Muscat Municipality.
