The title of 2011 World Champion of Public Speaking was awarded to Jock Elliott from Bongaree, Queensland, Australia.

It's the World Series of public speaking, the Olympics of oratory, the final bout for the heavyweight title of "World Champion of Public Speaking." It's the Toastmasters International Speech Contest!

Each year, this speech contest culminates at Toastmasters International's four-day International Convention, held in August. A panel of experienced Toastmasters judges evaluate nine contestants from different parts of the world, all of whom had advanced to the finals following a year-long process of elimination, using club, area, district and semifinal competitions. Criteria used in judging included speech content, organization, voice quality and gestures.

Jock Elliott has been a highly successful trainer in presentation skills (public speaking) for 25 years. Jock is recognised as one of the best speakers in the world and in 2011 has taken out the esteemed title of 'World Champion of Public Speaking' with Toastmasters International.

He brings to his courses energy and enthusiasm, years of experience both as a trainer and performer, all in a warm and supportive environment for his participants. His students unfailingly gain self-confidence, clarity in their presentations and learn to prepare and present stronger, more effective and valuable presentations. His courses guarantee individual support and assessment, enjoyment, and help promote stronger teamwork within their organisation.

He helps participants learn to clarify their message, identify their audience (market) and develop an effective and appropriate presentation using all the necessary vocal, verbal and visual skills necessary.

Jock adds his expertise to Argent Star’s Executive Speech Coaching and Corporate Speaking workshops.

"I was very impressed with the presenter and the manner in which the course was run." AB, Norman Disney & Young

"The course took the terror out of speaking in front of a crowd. Showed me how to prepare for a speech properly, which gave me more confidence." AD, Royal Australian Navy

"Thanks Jock, your enthusiasm for us and the course was unquestionable." GS, Royal Australian Navy
