A Chinese beekeeper has attempted to break a
world record by covering his body with more than 300,000 bees.
She Ping, 32, concealed almost all of his body with 33.1kg of bees, which is
estimated to be 331,000 of the creatures, in one hour in Chongqing
Municipality in China's south west.
Reports said She broke the world record, but there are doubts over whether
he actually did.
Guinness World Records says Vipin Seth, from India, was covered by 61.4kg of
bees in 2009.
It was calculated that 613,500 bees were on his body at the Indian
Agriculture Research Institute in New Delhi.
But She has managed to overtake another Chinese beekeeper's record at least,
reports said.
Ruan Liangming set a record of 26.8kg in Jiangxi province in 2008.
She, a third generation beekeeper, told reporters he did not wash himself
for three days to better attract bees.
