A new research has figured out that Vitamin
D has effects on better sperm quality in men.
This report has been confirmed after the study was done on 340 men. The
sperms were collected and checked in the laboratory and simultaneous tests
were done to check the Vitamin D level in the body.
Now the results showed that once the Vitamin D level of the body is
increased after spending time in the sunlight, the quality of the sperms has
increased.
Researchers say that Vitamin D is produced by the skin on exposure to
sunlight. Vitamin D improves the quality of the sperms.
Good quality sperms have higher capability to swim in the vagina tract to
reach the egg and they have higher penetrative power which helps in
fertilization.
According to the researchers, it is great news for all the men and every man
can boost their sperm quality by spending some time in the sunlight.
"Vitamin D levels were positively associated with sperm motility, suggesting
a role for vitamin D in human sperm function", the Daily Mail quoted Dr
Martin Bloomberg Jensen as saying.
Scientists have also claimed that Vitamin D helps to balance the levels of
calcium and phosphorous in the body which helps in getting strong bones.
Thus, the researchers are telling the men to spend some time in the sunlight
for better fatherhood.
