Nitika: The World shortest bodybuilder, Aditya ‘Romeo’ Dev who
enlisted his name in the Guinness Book of World Records in 2008, passed away at
age of 23.
Romeo from Punjab, born a primordial dwarf major
cause of his small size, suffered from brain hemorrhage last night and went to
coma before
admitted to Satyam Hospital in Punjab, India, where he breathed his last and
died.
With his tiniest size of just 2 feet, 9 inches
and weight 9 kgs, Romeo recorded several national and international awards by
lifting high weigthing dumbbells as per his height and weight.
India’s tiniest man had been stopping exercising
since 2008 when USA doctors reported that he diagnosed with two brain aneurism
leads to Moyamoya syndrome, alarming flow of blood causing clots. Doctors also
warned him that his aneurism could burst, leading to a stroke at any time.
“He was brought to the hospital in an
unconscious state. It was due to massive bleeding which had caused brain damage
or aneurism bleeding. There were very rare chances of him surviving,” Dr. Nerraj
Chandanone at Satyam Hospital said.
Romeo’s trainer Ranjit Pabla shocked over his
death terming a big loss to Phagwara and Punjab. As per him, Romeo was the
world’s strongest dwarf.
“Romeo became the cynosure of all eyes and won
accolades wherever he went for his performance,” Pabla said.
This evening, Romeo will be cremated as per
Hindu traditional ceremony in Phagwara.
