Ever played the role of the Timer in a Toastmasters
meeting? If yes, you know that it can be a choice... you have to constantly
check stopwatch and it takes your attention away from enjoying the speeches.
But there is a solution for this. and that is what this app doing. Also it can
help you to count AH, topics for Table topics and also word of the day
SpeakApp is a powerful toolkit for Toastmasters and those who
wish to improve their public speaking skills. This version of SpeakApp includes
the following tools and services:
1. Timer
SpeakApp Timer is tailored to Toastmasters speeches which have specific
allowed times. Select the desired speech time and hit Start to start the timer.
Switch ON the fullscreen mode to display the green, amber and red signs to the
speaker. After stopping the timer, click on Save to save the time record. Saved
records can be viewed in the Timer Report. The Timer beep sound can be switched
ON or OFF in the Settings section.
2. Ah Counter
Forget the old caveman way of counting ah's. Simply,
click on the buttons on the Ah Counter tool to count ah's, em's, fillers and
repeated words. Click on Save to save the Ah Counter record. Saved records can
be viewed in the Ah Counter Report.
3. Table
Topics
The Table Topics tool provides you with a good inventory of topics on the go.
Every time you hit the Display a Table Topic button a new topic is displayed.
4. Word of the Day
Every day, SpeakApp pulls a Word of the Day from TheFreeDictionary.com. Click on
the speaker image to hear the correct pronunciation of the word.
5. Find a Club
Visiting a new country, and wish to attend a Toastmasters meeting? SpeakApp
includes the Find a Club page from Toastmasters International's website to help
you locate clubs near you. Enter your location and meeting time preference to
select among the available Clubs in your area.
6. Profile
It is very often that a Toastmaster forgets his or her membership information
such as Member ID or District number. Keep a record of your Toastmasters
information on the Profile page as a reference.
