Brahmana Samkshema Samakhya is inviting applications from poor Brahmin
boys/girls who have excelled in SSC/Intermediate examinations for
scholarships. Applications must reach any one of the following Samakhya
members: Bharadwaja Chakravarti, Teja Color Lab, 3 Lamps Junction; Dr. D.V.
Srikanth, Sri Nursing Home, Bondada Veedhi; Krishna Metal Mart, near Minerva
Theatre; Dhavala Venkata Rao, Advocate, Cantonment, Vizianagaram, by June 1.
The Samakhya will give away ‘pratibha puraskars’ to the toppers at a
function scheduled to be held at Masonic temple here on June 14, a press
release said on Friday.

Applications for
scholarship
The Times Educational Welfare
Society, a Hyderabad-based registered society, has announced ‘Bright Student
Award’ and scholarship for class X students of SSC, CBSE and ICSE based on a
written test which will be held on May 24. The last date for applying is May 22.
The test will be conducted in
mathematics and science in English, Telugu and Urdu media. The top ranker will
get cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh, second ranker will get Rs. 80,000 and third ranker
will get Rs. 70,000, according to Mohd Jahangir Shareef, secretary, Times

candidates to undertake postdoctoral research in sciences, engineering and

fellowship programme to support future Indian leaders who need financial
assistance in obtaining an MBA at Stanford.

Swami Vivekananda Single Girl
Child
Scholarship in Social Science
To promote girl's education, UGC
has introduced this scholarship with the aim of compensating direct costs of
higher education especially for such girls who happen to be the only girl child
in their family.
Eligibility: A single girl
child who has taken admission in regular, full -time Ph. D. programme in Social
Sciences with maximum age of 40 years (general) and 45 years (SC/ST/OBC/PD) can
apply.
